- US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Walla Walla District, is seeking small business sources for a construction project titled: Dworshak Dam Transformer Deluge Piping Reroute. The work is located at Dworshak Dam in Clearwater County, Idaho. This will be a firm-fixed-price construction contract. Construction magnitude is estimated to be between $100,000 and $250,000. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and the associated small business size standard is $33,500,000. This sources sought announcement is a tool to identify businesses with the capability to accomplish the work. This is not a solicitation. Only those firms who respond to this announcement by submitting the following information (items one through five) will be used in determining whether to set aside this requirement. 1)A list of current or past projects demonstrating technical experience with work of a similar nature to that listed in the Summary Scope of Work. For each project submitted, provide a brief narrative statement of the work your firm accomplished, your firm's role in the project, the dollar value and the completion date (or projected completion date). 2)A reference list for each of the projects submitted in # 1) above. Include the name, title, phone number and email address. 3)A statement of your firm's bonding capacity. 4)A statement of your firm's business size and type (HUBZone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), woman-owned). 5)Cage Code and DUNS number. Submit this information to Cynthia Jacobsen, Contract Specialist, via email to cynthia.h.jacobsen@usace.army.mil. Your response to this notice must be received on or before 1:00 PM (local time) on Friday, May 30, 2014. SUMMARY OF SCOPE OF WORK: The work required will consist of furnishing and installing the following: 1.Approximately 40 ft. of 10 inch diameter steel pipe, two elbows, one-10 inch diameter butterfly valve, and pipe supports. 2.Core drilling two 12 inch diameter holes, one through a 3 foot thick reinforced concrete floor and the other through a 2 foot thick reinforced concrete wall. This work will be conducted inside the Dworshak Dam powerhouse located near Orofino, ID.
