Description

J&A FY14-0155 The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Procurement Operations, Science and Technology Acquisition Division proposes to award an extension to DHS indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity (ID/IQ) Contract HSHQDC-09-D-00001 (the "Contract" or the "ID/IQ Contract") on the basis of other than full and open competition on behalf of the DHS Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) based on the rationale provided in this Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition. Pursuant to the procedures and policies at FAR 35.017, DHS S&T intends to award an extension to the current ID/IQ Contract for the operation of the Homeland Security Systems Engineering and Development Institute (HSSEDI) to the MITRE Corporation, 7515 Colshire Drive, McLean, VA 22102-7539. This action will maintain the unique and essential engineering, research, and development capabilities provided by the MITRE Corporation under the HSSEDI. The ID/IQ Contract ceiling amount of $442,552,607.00 will not be changed as a result of the proposed extension.
