- Army Contracting Command - Rock Island (ACC-RI) is seeking to possible sources of supply for the following items. The NAICS code for this requirement is 321920. Item: Boxes, Wood, Cleated plywood, Qty. 7,434 ea. Type III Class 2, Style A, Treatment B IAW ASTM6251, Special Packaging instructions 36-1-300 dated 6 August 2007, and Notice of Revision (NOR) R09K2083-01, Size 14 7/16 x 13 7/16 x 15 inches ID. Lids will be palletized separately. Boxes will be palletized 27 per pallet. Preservative treatment shall be per ASTM D6251 para 6.5 using 3% zinc naphthalene method for both box and lid and marked quote mark PB quote mark (indicating preservative method used) on the bottom of the box and on the same side of the lid as the heat treat stamp. Box shall be constructed from heat treated (HT to 56 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes) material and certified by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) IAW Non-manufactured Wood Packing Policy and Non-manufactured Wood Packing Enforcement Regulations both dated 30 May 2001. After heat treating, each box and pallet must be stamped with an approved heat treat stamp. The boxes will be stamped on opposite sides. The pallets will be stamped on opposite corner of each end. Box heat treat stamp approximate size: 3.75 inches wide by 2.0 inches tall. Lids will be stamped also on smooth side. Pallet heat treat stamp approximate size: 2.5 inches wide by 1.25 inches tall. Stamps must be legible and neat. Item: Pallets, materials handling, hardwood, post construction, 4 way entry, style 1, class 1, size A, Specification MIL-P-15011J dated 16 Sep 85, except that the gap between the deckboards at center of pallet shall be 1 inch minimum, 1-1/2 inch maximum, and the gap shall be located at the center of the pallet +/- inch to accommodate strapping. Pallet shall be preservative treated IAW MIL-P-15011J para. 3.2.1.3b and identification marking IAW para. 3.4.1. Pallet heat treat stamp approximate size: 2.5 inches wide by 1.25 inches tall. Stamps must be legible and neat. Pallet shall be constructed from heat treated (HT to 56 degrees Centigrade for 30 minutes) material and certified by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) IAW Non-manufactured Wood Packing Policy and Non-manufactured Wood Packing Enforcement Regulations both dated 30 May 2001. Interested sources need to submit terms and conditions, production capability, delivery lead times, warranty, and cost estimates for budgetary purposes only. Delivery shall be FOB Destination: Pine Bluff Arsenal, Pine Bluff, AR. This is for MARKET RESEARCH ONLY.
