- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. SEE REVISED ATTACHMENT The NJ Army National Guard Headquarters is upgrading our current assembly area and is installing audiovisual (AV) components in the assembly area or quote mark drill floor quote mark located at 3650 Saylors Pond Rd. Ft Dix, NJ 08640. The installation is to be performed NLT 22 July 2014. We require the design and installation of an audio visual system that will consist of a motorized hoist system that will allow for lifting and securing of 4 ea, 15 quote mark speakers suspended from the ceiling approximately 30 feet off the ground. There will also be a projector suspended from the ceiling that can be retracted with the use of a motorized suspension device. The equipment must be safely secured to the rigging system at all times. The speakers will be wired to a sound system in the same room. This sound system, the speakers and the projector will be supplied by the NJARNG. A description of the equipment to be installed is attached. The Contractor will: 1. Conduct an on-site walkthrough with NJ Army National Guard (NJARNG) G6 Visual Information (VI) personnel on Thursday, June 5, 2014 at 9:00 am to acquire requirements for design/build of the Audio Visual systems project. ***ALL Contractors attending the on-site walkthrough must submit the following information to SPC Hower via email Christopher.a.hower.mil@mail.mil NO LATER THAN 12 NOON MAY 30, 2014*** Information needed: Last Name, First Name, Middle Initial, State of Drivers License or Residence, Drivers License Number. Late submissions of identification will not be allowed on Post. 2. Submit in writing results of the on-site walkthrough and the project requirements set forth by the NJARNG G6 VI section. Specify appropriate equipment to complete the project outcome or suggest alternate system and/or equipment that will effectively interface and integrate system requirements. 4. Provide a complete bid for the project NLT 4:00 pm Thursday, June 12, 2014 via email Christopher.a.hower.mil@mail.mil. Failure to provide a complete equipment list and design may result in disqualification. 5. Proposals will include costs for all labor, materials, transportation and equipment to complete the furnishing, installation, assembly, set up and testing of the systems. 6. Provide installation services for up to 4 ea 15 quote mark speakers and 1 ea video projectors. Motorized hoist or rigging system must allow NJ ARNG personnel to lower, adjust and redeploy equipment to original position from a control device or panel in the same room. 7. Furnish and install all necessary conduit, cabling, boxes, conversion, routing and switching equipment, and programming labor required for complete and fully operational systems. 8. Mark all cables, regardless of length, with permanent, non-handwritten number of letter cable markers within six inches of booth ends. There shall be no unmarked cables at any places in the system. Marking codes used on cables shall correspond to the codes shown on system drawings. 9. Warranty the entire system installation for a minimum of one year from the date of system acceptance by the court. Component warranties shall be honored for the term established by the manufacturer, if greater than one year. 10. All projectors and speakers are to be suspended from the building structure or attached to rated framing. It is the responsibility of the Contractor to provide a safe support system for the loudspeakers and projectors using rated hardware from the manufacturer. These suspension systems must be reviewed and approved by a licensed structural engineer. 11. Provide a designated supervisor present and in responsible charge on the project site during all phases of the installation and testing of the project. 12. Test audiovisual systems and demonstrate to NJ Army National Guard VI Section personnel that they are functioning correctly. The governing overall requirement is complete, safely secured and functional systems. 13. Provide a project maintenance binder with all manufacturer specific operating and maintenance instructions manuals for each piece of equipment installed. 14. Must provide operator and maintenance training sessions on completed systems to at least 2 personnel from the NJ ARNG G6 Visual Information section for project to be considered complete and delivered. ***Selection of contractor shall be contingent on the process that includes CFMO review and approval of submitted plans.*** The NJ Army National Guard G6 Visual Information section will: 1. Assign a project manager for this work after the bid is awarded. 2. Make the project work space available to the contractor during regular business hours. 3. Coordinate with the Contractor to schedule the work space for the installation work. 4. Provide all speakers and projectors for the project
