Contracting Office Address Department of Health and Human Services, National Institutes of Health, National Cancer Institute, Office of Acquisitions, Riverside Five, Suite 400, Room 4025, 8490 Progress Drive, Frederick, MD 21701, UNITED STATES Description The Motorized Ultra Precise Small Animal Stereotaxic Instrument and Accessories is required for positioning mice for surgical procedures including stereotaxic brain injection, spinal cord injection, and craniotomies. The National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), is anticipating award of a Firm-Fixed Price non-competitive purchase order to the David Kopf Instruments in Tujunga, California to provide a Motorized Ultra Precise Small Animal Stereotaxic Instrument with accessories as described below in Section B. While there are several vendors for stereotaxic equipment, only Kopf Instruments has all the parts and customizability to meet our uses and still offers repairs/reconditioning/calibration for all of their products. For this reason NCI believes that the David Kopf Instruments is the only source capable of fulfilling this requirement. The supplies herein are being procured in accordance with the simplified acquisition procedures as authorized by FAR Part 13.106-1 (b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System code is 339112 and the business size standard is 500 employees. Period of Performance shall be for four (4) weeks from date of award. This procurement will purchase the following equipment: Qty Description 1 Model 963SD Motorized Ultra Precise Small Animal Stereotaxic Instrument 3 Model 923-B Mouse Gas Anesthesia Head Holder 3 Model 922 Non-Rupture 60 degree tip ear bars 1 Model 1766-AP Cannula Holder (Alzet/Plastic One) 1 Model UMP3-1 Syringe Pump with Micro4 Controller &1770-C 1 Model TCAT-2LV,HP1M,RET-2&3 Temperature Control Assy 1 Model 980 Small Animal Spinal Unit 1 Model 900 Small Animal Stereotaxic Frame with 920/957 1 Model TCAT-2LV,HP1M,RET-2&3 Temperature Control Assy 1 Model 900-U Stereotaxic U-Frame Assembly Only This notice is not a request for competitive quotation. However, if any interested party believes it can meet the above requirement, it may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities and any other information furnished must be in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NCI to determine if the party can perform the requirement. Capability statements must be received in the contracting office by 12:00 PM EST, on June 6, 2014.
