J- PERFORM Crankshaft and other repairs on NOAA ship Thomas Jefferson NOTICE DATE: MAY 21, 2014 Notice Type: Pre-Solicitation NAICS: 333618 - OTHER ENGINE EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING Contracting Office: Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Regional Acquisition, 200 Granby Street, Suite 815, Norfolk, VA 23510 The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Regional Acquisition, Norfolk, VA on behalf of Office of Marine and Aviation Operations (OMAO) is soliciting a requirement to Renew the crankshaft and other repairs on NOAA ship Thomas Jefferson's SSDG #1 engine and renewal of the real seal on SSDG #3 engine.. Provide all labor, material and equipment in accordance with the attached Statements of Work. This RFQ is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333618, which has a corresponding size standard of 1,000 employees. Solicitation number EA-133M-14-RQ-0485 will be issued May 21, 2014 and will close May 28, 2014. The total period of performance for all work specified in the Statement of Work is June 1, 2014 through June 30, 2014 for the SSDG engine #1 and engine #3. Evaluation factors for Award The Government will issue a firm fixed price purchase order to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation results in the best value to the Government, considering both price and nonprice factors as specified in the solicitation. The following factors will be used to evaluate quotations: Past Experience: Vendors shall provide a minimum of three jobs of similar scope and size within the past three years. Price: Vendors will be evaluated on the basis of low price in conjunction with past experience. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. The anticipated award date is on or about May 29, 2014. Contractors are encouraged to register with the FedBizOpps Vendor Notification Service as well as the Interested Vendors List for this acquisition (see applicable tab within FedBizOpps where this synopsis/solicitation is posted).
