Small Business Set-Aside: This acquisition is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Rehabilitation of Acadia Bridges at Acadia National Park: The National Park Service has a requirement for the rehabilitation of eight bridges. The major elements of work include: mobilization and demobilization; installation, maintenance and removal of maintenance of traffic and erosion control measures; bridge and approach roadway pavement rehabilitation; slope erosion repairs; installation of a waterproofing system and drainage at each bridge; all staging, scaffolding, concrete repairs and masonry rehabilitation work, including cleaning exposed stone masonry, repointing and re-bedding of mortar joints in stone masonry, reconstruction of displaced stone masonry, repair of cracks in stone masonry, and repair of expansion joints in stone masonry. Also included on one bridge are repairs to the bridge deck scuppers in the bridge interior; removal of the existing and installation of a new permanent inspection access system in the bridge interior; and design and installation of a new permanent inspection lighting system in the bridge interior. Also included for one area is new construction of two bicycle bridges and a utility bridge, including a bike path and underground utilities adjacent to Schoodic Loop Road across the Frazer Creek causeway. The Government anticipates awarding one firm fixed price construction contract as a result of the anticipated solicitation. The anticipated award date is July 29, 2014. The estimated magnitude of the construction project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The estimated period of performance is August 2014 through September 2015. The NAICS code for this project is 237310 and the small business size standard is $33.5M. This procurement is subject to, among others, the provisions of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 15, contracting by Negotiation. This is the Solicitation notice.
