The bridge is visible from the parking area. Project Description 1) Description of Work. The project consists of removing and replacing 3 trail bridges. All fabrication and installation of the bridge shall be done by the contractor. All hardware, timber, geocell, rock and fill material are to be furnished by the contractor. Production and commercial certificates are required prior to installation for all components see Section 106 of the specifications for what constitutes a production or commercial certificate. The work is at the following three locations: a) Albro Lake Trail No. 6333. The current trail bridge at Albro Lake Trail is an 11-foot bridge with sound treated decking, but rotting native stringers and sills. The bridge is currently too short for the location, this caused extensive erosion around the sills. The current bridge shall be removed. The new bridge shall be 20 feet in length by 6 feet in width and shall have rock retainer crib and turnpike approaches. This trail is open to ATV traffic. b) Tobacco Root Trail No. 6015. The current trail bridge along the Tobacco Root Trail is a 25-foot bridge that is completely rotten and causing resource damage. The bridge has partially failed and some water currently flows over the bridge. The bridge is currently too short for the location. The current bridge shall be removed. The new bridge shall be 34 feet in length by 6 feet in width and shall have rock retainer crib and turnpike approaches. Currently a special use permit exists for a land-owner to use full-sized vehicles along this road. c) Washington Creek Trail No. 6360. The current trail bridge along the Washington Creek Trail is a 22-foot bridge that is undersized and in in critical condition. A hodgepodge of decking and running boards make up the riding surface. The bridge is currently too short for the location. The current bridge shall be removed. The new bridge shall be 34 feet in length by 6 feet in width and shall have rock retainer crib and turnpike approaches. The bridge is accessible by high clearance full-sized vehicles. Tools and Equipment. All tools and equipment shall be furnished by the contractor. 4-wheelers, excavators, and other mechanized equipment is limited to a 60-inch maximum track or wheel base. These trails are currently maintained at a 50-inch width. If the contractor chooses to use larger than 50-inch equipment, rehabilitation of the additional width shall be conducted prior to final payment. When not on site, keep valuable tools hidden from the trail. No formal site visit is planned. Frr further directions to the site please contact Kendra Bull at 406-683-3962.
