- VA Central Iowa Health Care System has a need for periodic cleaning of a 2500 gallon grease interceptor. The interceptor is located in parking lot 6 of the VA Medical Center campus at 3600 30th St, Des Moines, IA 50310. Clean Grease Interceptor - VA Central Iowa Health Care System 1. Background - VA Central Iowa Health Care System has a need for periodic cleaning of a 2500 gallon grease interceptor. The interceptor is located in parking lot 6 of the VA Medical Center campus at 3600 30th St, Des Moines, IA 50310 2. Period of Performance - ? Base Year - May 31, 2014 - May 30, 2015 ? Option Year 1 - May 31, 2015 - May 30, 2016 ? Option Year 2 - May 31, 2016 - May 30, 2017 ? Option Year 3 - May 31, 2017 - May 30, 2018 ? Option Year 4 - May 31, 2018 - May 30, 2019 3. Technical Guidance - ? The contractor shall provide all tools, equipment and labor required to empty the grease interceptor as needed (approximately every 10 calendar days). ? The service technician shall inspect the grease interceptor before emptying and note the level of grease within. Notify the COR if the interceptor is more than 25% full. ? The grease interceptor must be emptied between the hours of 5:00pm and 11:00pm. ? Contractor shall legally and safely haul away and dispose of material removed from the grease interceptor. ? Service the main kitchen, canteen, 6 each dryer vents in building 5, commercial in building 2, 4 each dryer vents in CLC and main/EMS Dryer Com. 4. Other Special Requirements The contractor shall maintain all licenses and insurance certificates required by state and local jurisdictions. Damages caused by the contractor to government property shall be repaired by the contractor at no cost to the government.
