- Eastside Road Storm Damage Repair White Mountain National Forest Description of Work - Relocate approximately 2,600 FT of Eastside Road with drainage devices, decommission approximately 2,600 FT of road, reconstructing two stream crossings from culverts to bridges, and constructing two new stream crossing with bridges. The road damage occurred as a result of Tropical Storm Irene. The contractor shall provide all expertise, labor, supervision, services, equipment, tools, supplies, permits, coordination with utilities, transportation, and incidentals necessary to construct a new section of the road with the bridges and the obliteration of the damaged section of the road. Project Location - This project is located in Lincoln, NH, Grafton County, within the White Mountain National Forest, Pemigewassett Ranger District. Eastside Road is located on the northerly side of Kancamagus Highway, Route 112, near the easterly side of the highway bridge over the East Branch Pemigewasset River. Project begins at designed stream crossing. Price Range - $250,000 to $500,000. Pre-bid Tour - A pre-bid tour is proposed on June 24, 2014 at 9am. Details will be provided in the forthcoming solicitation documents. Please be sure to check those documents as this date may change. Start Work - It is estimated that work will begin on September 1, 2014; with no site disturbance before September 1, 2014. Period of Performance - Work shall be completed by July 31, 2015. The Period of Performance includes pre-construction activities such as: obtaining permits, and ordering and delivery of materials; and performance of the work (including winter shutdown). Government Furnished Materials - The Forest Service shall provide the four bridges. These are prefabricated bridge superstructures ranging from 20 foot length to 60 foot length. Contractors must be registered in www.sam.gov in order to submit an offer on this project. Obtaining a DUNS number and registering in SAM are FREE. All solicitation materials will be uploaded to this site on or around June 12, 2014. This will include work specifications, maps, drawings, and all materials needed in order to submit an offer.
