- Pursuant to FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1), the Mission and Installation Contracting Command, Installation Contracting Office, Fort Drum, NY, intends to negotiate/award a sole-source contract to Global Ground Support LLC 540 E. Hwy 56 Olathe KS 66061-4640 to purchase a Deicer Truck Mounted Cleaning-Deicing Spraying Unit Simulator. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 13-106-1(b). Global Ground Support is currently building Truck Mounted Cleaning-Deicing Spraying Units, Part Number 998-70548, for Fort Drum. The requested simulator is an exact replica of the Global Deice Cleaning-Deicing Spraying Unit in production and which are currently in use at Fort Drum's airfield. The requirement to have a simulator which matches utilized equipment is paramount in initial qualification and annual refresher training. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for proposal and a solicitation will not be issued in conjunction with the notice of intent. Any vendor that believes it can provide the stated supplies/equipment can provide supporting documents demonstrating their products capability and specifications. Responses received will be used for future acquisitions. Information can be sent to the Contract Specialist; Moses Faciane at moses.f.faciane.civ@mail.mil. No facsimile requests will be accepted. This procurement will be prepared in accordance with FAR Part 13, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. A determination not to compete this requirement was made pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c)(1), Only one responsible Source. The Government intends to procure this sole source requirement under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS and a solicitation will not be issued. If no affirmative written responses are received by 13 June 2014, award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed requirement is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses may be submitted to moses.f.faciane.civ@mail.mil.
