Description

The FAA is seeking to obtain market information from offerors to conduct testing at their facility for Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) Transient Voltage Surge Suppressors (TVSS) for its final use in FAA facilities. The FAA is interested in facilities that could test FAA supplied units in accordance with the attached specifications. The results would be presented by the facility in a test report. Interested vendors should respond with their capabilities and their standard format for cost for this type of pricing, along with their standard formatting for scheduling such tests. The FAA may be interested in testing one or more TVSS. Indication of lead times for scheduling and availability of services should be presented. This announcement is not a Request For Proposal (RFP) or Request For Offer (RFO) of any kind. It is for information and planning purposes and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Further, the FAA is not seeking or accepting unsolicited proposals. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The principle North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this effort is 541380 Laboratory testing (except medical, veterinary) services. All interested vendor ™s written responses must be received by 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Submittals shall be limited to 20 pages using Times New Roman in font size not less than 11.
