Description
STATEMENT OF NEED A. GENERAL GUIDANCE 1. Title of Project: Mammography Software Based Tracking System 2. Scope of Work: Vendor will supply a standalone software system for tracking in-house and outsourced Mammography studies. Installation will include an HL7-interface to our hospital information system and a manual method of entering orders. Licenses shall allow up to ten concurrent users. 3. Performance Period: Within 60 days receipt of purchase order 4. Type of Contract: Firm-fixed-price. B. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS The tracking system must provide manual and automated interface entry of mammography studies for up to ten concurrent users. The software system must be HIPPA-compliant and meet FDA/MQSA Outcome Auditing Requirements. It must have user-definable patient notification and recall letters for each Bi-Rad result code. As part of the purchase, an HL7 interface will be developed with the Vista system, if necessary. Document management must be present to provide necessary statistical and regulatory reports that meet mammography program requirements for certification. The system must be able to import data from a Magview MIS export file. This Magview System is required for us to interface with supporting vendors and it has VISTA HL 7 interface. The software will support single-user login, user-defined data fields, and be PHI-compliant. C. FEATURES In addition to the general requirements above, initial on-site training and project management will be part of the software installation. D. SCHEDULE FOR DELIVERABLES Delivery will be as follows: Birmingham VAMC-Radiology Department Attn: Stephen Bartlett or Karen Manning Room 2108 700 South 19th Street, Birmingham, AL 35233 E. GOVERNMENT RESPONSIBILITIES BVAMC will supply a medical server with SQL 2008 installed for the purpose of hosting this network application. F. CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL SECURITY REQUIREMENTS Personnel security requirements are not applicable to this requirement.
