Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced base and three (3) option year contract to Chemdaq Corporation, 7038 River Road, Pittsburg, PA 15225 for sensor calibration, regularly scheduled, and emergency maintenance services for the following Chemdaq H2O2 monitoring sensors located in the SPD department at the Robley Rex VAMC Louisville, 800 Zorn Avenue, Louisville, KY 40206: EE# 56676 Steri-Trac Monitor for H2O2 S/N 20100427M022 EE# 56674 Steri-Trac Monitor for H2O2 S/N 20100427M021 EE# 56675 Steri-Trac Monitor for H2O2 S/N 20100427M023 This requirement will be Sole Sourced because the sensors are proprietary in nature and Chemdaq Corporation is the only vendor that can provide validated certification on the sensors as well as service them in accordance with the original equipment manufacturers written procedures. The Chemdaq H2O2 Gas Detection Monitors Sensors are needed to measure H2O2 gas which is utilized to sterilize tools and equipment that cannot be autoclaved with steam. Incorrectly calibrated sensors could alarm in error either above or below the threshold, causing possible harm to the employees in the area. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 811219 and has a size standard of $19M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 4:30p.m. CST, June 6, 2014 to: Matthew.Cox@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
