- Description
- The work consists of furnishing all plant, labor and materials for cleaning out Straight Slough Ditch in Cross County Arkansas. The cleanout consists of establishing a channel bottom width of 100 feet to 110 feet, depending upon channel location, while re-establishing a work-side channel side slope of 1V:2H. Work will begin at the downstream project limit and proceed upstream. Work incidental to the cleanout work includes but is not limited to excavated material placement within the right-of-way limits, clearing,snagging, scraping of topsoil, establishment of turf, and erosion control. Additional work includes placing R200 riprap along the channel top bank. The work shall be located at Straight Slough Ditch and lands parallel to the ditch for 4 miles upstream of HWY 42 and 6 miles downstream of HWY 42. This project will be advertised as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Set-Aside. For the purpose of this procurement to qualify as a small business concern, in addition to being independently owned and operated and not dominate in the field of operation in which it is bidding on Government contracts, the concern must have had average annual sales receipts for the preceding three fiscal years not exceeding $33.5 million. The supplies or services to be procured in this solicitation are classified under NAICS code 237990. The estimated cost of the proposed work is between $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Solicitation will issue on/about 19 June 2014 and bid opening date will be on/about 22 July 2014.
