Description

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a) (1) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source purchase order to a Service Disabled Veteran Small Business IAW VAAR 819.7008. This is not a request for competitive proposal and there is no solicitation package available. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is 38 U.S.C. 8127 and 8128; FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i). This procurement is based on the determination that the governments' minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from only one source. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Activity-8, in support of James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in accordance the DUSHOM (10N) memo to standardize the VISN-Wide Acquisition and Implementation Process for Intensive Care Unit and Anesthesia Record Keeping Clinical Information Systems and the Analytics System and related equipment and installation, intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order to Jemni, Inc. to provide Medical Grade Computer, wall mounts, and installation. This is a follow-on action for an extension of the current system due to hospital expansion and activation of the Progressive Care Unit. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this buy is 339112 and has a size standard of 500 employees for this procurement. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the government not to compete the proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the government. However, interested parties may identify their interest no later than 3:00 PM EST, Tuesday June 3, 2014 to: Belinda.Buford@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated and will be considered for any future requirements; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. In order to keep integrity of the current system, any response must be an exact match with the requirement listed below. The projected purchase order date of award is on or about June 5, 2014.
