Description

The Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, Contracting Department intends to solicit on a sole source basis with Unique Communications to provide NCTS Jacksonville Base Communications Office with technical support and software upgrade requirements for the Cable Assignment Information Retrieval System (CAIRS) and the Call Accounting System (CAS) computer systems and software. The period of performance for this contract will be a base period of (12) twelve months, with (4) One-year Options beginning 01 October 2014. The Navy intends to solicit for a Firm Fixed Priced contract. This procurement is a sole source acquisition with Unique Communications, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Unique Communications is the only known provider of these services. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 541511. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. While, all proposals received within ten days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government, a determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
