Description
SYNOPSIS This solicitation is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/. FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use the FBO site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. This requirement is for upgrades to a Teradyne Spectrum 9100 Automated Test System and maintenance and training for the system. There will also be an option for a 2nd Teradyne 9100 Automated Test System. The contract will be sole sourced to Teradyne, North Reading, MA 01864 in accordance with the authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1) and implemented by FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The cost that would be duplicated to update or purchase an alternate type test system to match Government's test requirements make it impracticable to procure other than the upgrade to the Teradyne Spectrum 9100. The cost to maintain a 2nd set of maintenance/calibration spares and cost to train personnel on a different system make it impracticable to procure other than the Teradyne Spectrum 9100 for the 2nd test set. The delivery terms for this acquisition will be FOB Destination. Inspection and Acceptance will be at Destination. No solicitation will be made available at Fed Biz Opps and no hard copies of the solicitation will be mailed. Responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation which will be considered by the agency. For changes made after the closing date, only those offerors that provide a proposal will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered. Reference the above solicitation number when responding to this notice. FAR Part 12 procedures will be used, and the procurement will be bought as a commercial item.
