- On or about June 17, 2014, the National Park Service will be issuing a request for proposal to construction firms having the capability to perform the work described below. Scope of work: Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, materials, transportation and supervision necessary to complete site preparation and install two monitoring wells at the Friendship Hill National Historic Site (FRHI), Point Marion, PA. The NAICS code and size standard for this procurement are 237110 and $33.5 million. The estimated magnitude of this project is less than $25,000.00. Only one award shall be made. The estimated time for completion is 90 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The solicitation will be set aside for small business in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 19.5. A firm-fixed price contract will be awarded to the responsive contractor submitting the lowest price technically acceptable proposal. A pre-proposal site visit may be held (see solicitation package for time and date of scheduled visit). All questions must be in writing and may be submitted to Gettysburg National Military Park, Administration-Karen Umstot, 1000 Biglerville Road, Gettysburg, PA, 17325 or emailed to karen.umstot@nps.gov.Telephone requests will not be accepted. Requests being sent via mail must contain a verifiable return address or they will not be opened. A proposal due date has not been established at this time. This solicitation will be issued electronically (paper copies of this solicitation will not be made available) on the Fed Connect website: https://www.fedconnect.net/FedConnect/default.htm. An additional source for information is the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov/. Solicitation documents will be available in Microsoft Word, HTML, TIFF and Adobe PDF formats. Contractors wishing to receive electronic notification of changes will need to register to receive notification of this specific solicitation at the Fed Connect website. Plan holders will be required to visit this website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the contract documents. No other notification will be sent.
