- The U.S. Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground Belvoir Division is seeking sources on behalf of the CERDEC Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) Science and Technology Division (STD) for a Foreign Comparative Test Program in accordance with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 206.301-1(b) in the area of high operating temperature mid-wavelength infrared (MWIR) cameras in Fiscal Year 2015. The candidate cameras should be capable of operating at or above 150K with 640x512 and/or 1280x720 FPA formats and pixel pitch less than or equal to 16 microns. The camera(s) must be a non-developmental item(s). Vendors must have a broad experience in the field of MWIR cameras, as well as adequate fabrication and test facilities to warrant pre-production testing and limited procurement of the high operating temperature MWIR cameras. The following elements are required for consideration in the high operating temperature MWIR cameras market survey: 1) Demonstrate requirements of the high operating temperature MWIR cameras 2) the acquisition must be a non-developmental effort and units must be available upon a signed contractual agreement. For consideration, all respondents must individually address each of the above elements. Data to include prior testing of the high operating temperature MWIR cameras must be furnished to support responsiveness to the non-developmental effort. All interested sources with a non-developmental (in production or fielded) high operating temperature MWIR cameras may submit data addressing the primary characteristics may submit responses, not to exceed ten (10) pages. Responses are to be received via email no later than close of business on 12 June 2014. Proprietary information submitted in response to this Sources Sought will be protected when clearly identified as proprietary. Response packages shall be submitted via electronic mail to Ms. Michelle Hodges, Contracting Officer at michelle.l.hodges10.civ@mail.mil. Submission of this information is for planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the government to procure any items/services, or for the government to pay for the information received. No solicitation document exists. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. Respondents will not be notified of the results of this survey or results of information submitted.
