- Sole Source justification Solicitation Number: FA5270-14-Q-A016 Notice Type: Special Notice Synopsis: Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR THE REFURBUISHMENT OF A TURBO EXPANDER. DESC: INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT, COSMODYNE LLC. The Air Force, Kadena Air Base, Okinawa Japan intends to award a Sole Source order to Cosmodyne LLC. 3010 Old Ranch Parkway Suite 300 Seal Branch CA 90740, USA. The Sole Source purchase will be for supplies to repair a laser marking system The items and services to be provided are commercial, according to FAR 2.101 and described below. Description of Requirement: This requirement is for the contractor is for the refurbishment of a cryogenic turbo expander Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the items above. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force. If the office has not received any affirmative written responses by 0300AM Eastern Standard Time,17 June 2014, a Sole Source purchase order will be pursued with Cosmodyne LLC.
