- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FAR 6.302-1 Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm-fixed price sole source contract to Moog, Inc., of East Aurora, NY, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." The proposed procurement is for the purchase of a Haptic Master robotic arm and Force Sensor for the Department of Veterans Affairs Louis Stokes Cleveland Medical Center, in Cleveland, Ohio. The Haptic Master robotic arm and Force Sensor includes the following items: (1)Haptic Master including Haptic API (1)AOL Gimbal (1)2 days of training, installation, and commissioning The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541712 and the size standard is 500 employees. No solicitation package will be issued. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. The Government will consider responses received by 11:00am EST on June 10, 2014. Inquires will only be accepted via email to chauneecy.fletcher@va.gov. No telephone requests will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
