- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture, Agriculture Marketing Service, Cotton and Tobacco Programs, plans to award a sole source contract to Quantitative Engineering Solutions LLC (QES) located at 3525 Castle Lane, Suite 6, Alcoa, TN 37701 for enhancements/upgrades of the Cotton Acquisition and Tracking System (CATS). These enhancements/upgrades include: 1) Redesign of the loader for the production assistant ; 2) additional conveyor distribution of color sample for testing; 3) sample distribution through a loader to the primary sample container for fiber property testing of micronaire, length, uniformity and strength; 4) sampling improvements at the sub-sampler (improved control); and 5) relocation of classer stations. QES is the contractor who built the CATS and is the only vendor who can do the enhancements/upgrades. The period of performance for this contract is from date of award through 12 months.
