- Description
- RFI for Cyber Network Mission Dependency inputs for an Early Systems Engineering Development Planning Effort. This Development Planning effort is focused on the technical feasibility of an automated system to identify the dependency of a given mission on Air Force cyber assets (both hardware and software). Examples of assets include, but are not limited to, routers, links, machines, software, applications, databases, etc. The following assumptions were made to further define the scope of the solution space. · Network utilization and remaining capacity must be continually assessed and updated. · Utilization and availability assessments will be limited to network assets and infrastructure owned and/or controlled by the AF. If another service, Combatant Command or commercial entity controls network assets, the AF cannot dictate their use or availability, placing them outside this effort's scope. · Visualizations and other methods of presenting the information have been investigated in earlier DP efforts and will not be revisited in this effort. · Decision-making, COA development, and other uses of mission dependency information are outside the scope of this effort. Responses should simply identify products and technologies which enable automated discovery and identification of the cyber assets required to accomplish a given mission. · Recommended products and technologies should expose the priority of both the missions and the network assets. · Recommended products and technologies are only required to identify misson resource dependencies within Internet Protocol (IP) networks.
