- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) intends to award a sole-source contract to The Center for Research in Security Prices (CRSP) at the Graduate School of Business of the University of Chicago to meet the SEC's requirement for standard and derived historical data on U.S. common stocks, U.S. government bonds, mutual funds, and basic market indices. The data shall be provided via secure managed file transfer (MTF) and via Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) platform with quarterly updates. The services shall include: • Access to data on U.S. common stocks and closed-end mutual funds listed on NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ, and ARCA exchanges, • Access to descriptive and market data on U.S. Government bills, notes, and bonds, • Access to Data on active and inactive U.S. open-end mutual funds, • Access to US market indices on daily, monthly, quarterly and annual index frequencies. The market indices shall be grouped by market capitalization, and include the number of companies, total return and index level, capital appreciation return and index level, and income return and index level, and • Concurrent access to the U.S. common stocks and closed-end mutual funds data, and to extensive company fundamental data (including data from annual and quarterly income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and financial ratios) of active and inactive companies. The data shall be matched for each company, linked by unique company identifiers other than CUSIP or ticker, so that the data for companies can be viewed over time regardless of CUSIP or ticker changes. The period of performance is intended to run from July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2015 with four (4) one-year option periods. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 10:30 a.m. local time on 06/11/2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the Agency.
