Description

Norfolk Naval Shipyard will issue a Request for proposal (RFP) under solicitation# N00189-14-T-N053, for Reliance Instructor-Led Training services at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA, on or about 09 June 2014. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. SOLE SOURCE: Rockwell Automation holds proprietary rights to technical data and replacement parts necessary to training service, calibrate, and repair equipment. Rockwell Automation distributors shall provide Rockwell Automation Instructor training for eight (8) employees for eight (8) days. The three (3) courses are RE0520, RE0521, and RE0522. The proposed period of performance is 29 July 2014 through 07 August 2014. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 611519 with a size standard of $14.0 Million. This acquisition will be procured pursuant to the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR 52.204-7, System for Award Management (SAM), lack of registration in the SAM will make an offeror ineligible for contract award.
