SADA Housing 3BRE 4A SADA Housing 2BR 4A Kishaba Terrace C3 & K3 Bldg. 4261 Bldg. 4200 Questions & Answers #1 1a. Project EVKP 13-4283, Install Radon Mitigation Monitoring System, GOH 4200PL, Okinawa, Japan 1b. Project EVKP 13-4285, Install Radon Mitigation Monitoring System, GOH 4261PL, Okinawa, Japan 1c. Project EVKP 15-4269, Install Radon Mitigation Monitoring System, Marine Base MFH, Okinawa, Japan 2. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The general statement of the magnitude of this project is furnished for the convenience of the prospective offerors. The actual extent of work required will be governed by the contract specifications and drawings. 3. While funds are NOT presently available to fund this project, we anticipate funds will become available. If current Fiscal Year (FY 2014) funds are not available, no award shall be made. The Government reserves the right to cancel this request before award but after the closing date, when cancellation is clearly in the Government's best interest. EVKP 13-4283, Install Radon Mitigation Monitoring System, GOH 4200PL, in accordance with the Statement of Work dated 15 Apr 14 and all of its attachments. In general, the Contractor shall install a new mitigation system. The work being conducted shall include, but is not limited to the following: Conduct a pre-installation inspection, gather relevant site date, and review existing drawings and radon sampling data. Determine size, location, and configuration of mitigation system to achieve radon reduction goals, <4.0 picocuries per liter (pCi/L), for B4200. Installation: Install new mitigation system that is needed based on pre-testing results, where results yielded 4.0 pCi/L or greater. Where possible, mitigation systems shall be completed using active soil depressurization (ASD) techniques and employ sub-slab depressurization (SSD) methods. All installed exterior hardware and components shall be corrosion resistant suitable for coastal marine environments. Provide electrical wire from new suction fan to existing circuit breaker panelboad. New interior conduit shall run above ceiling as much as possible. Preparation of Final Report: Upon completion of the installation work, the Contractor shall provide a final report summarizing all field activities, and conclusions/recommendations. In addition, the Contractor shall provide (either as an appendix to the final report or a separate report) operations, maintenance and warranty information on installed systems. Include detailed photos of pre-existing conditions, work performed, and final conditions. Photos shall include unit numbers and written descriptions as necessary. In general, the contractor shall install a new radon mitigation system. The work being conducted shall include, but is not limited to the following: Conduct a pre-installation inspection, gather relevant site data, and review existing drawings and radon sampling data. Determine size, location, and configuration of mitigation system to achieve radon reduction goals <4.0 picocuries per liter (pCi/L) for each housing unit. Installation: Install new mitigation system that is needed based on pre-testing results, where results yielded 4.0 pCi/L or greater. Where possible, mitigation systems shall be completed using active soil depressurization (ASD) techniques and employ sub-slab depressurization (SSD) methods. All installed exterior hardware and components shall be corrosion resistant suitable for coastal marine environments. Provide electrical wire from new suction fan to existing circuit breaker panelboad. New interior conduit shall run above ceiling as much as possible. The Contractor shall complete Proj No. EVKP 13-4283 and EVKP 13-4285 within 98 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed (See Statement of Work for CLINS 0001 and 0002). Concurrently, the Contractor shall complete Proj No. EVKP 15-4269 within 186 calendar days after receiving Notice to Proceed (See Statement of Work for CLIN 0003). The Exchange Yen Rate is $1.00= ¥103.9439. The statement of RFI is due 7 days before (5 June 14) the proposal due date (12 June 14).
