Description

The Department Of Veterans Affairs, NCO 15 Contracting Office intends to award a firm fixed price under Far Part 6.302-1 to Siemens Industry, Inc. for the security system at the Kansas City VA Medical Center; 4801 Linwood Blvd.; Kansas City, MO 64128. This requirement includes, at a minimum, the upgrade of the current security system to the C-CURE 9000 software system, Access Control System upgrades, Network upgrades, IP Video System Headend upgrades and Camera upgrades. It is imperative that a Siemens licensed contractor be located onsite at the Kansas City VA (KCVA) Medical Center during duty hours of Monday - Friday (0800-1700) to address any issues that may arise with the security system. This service will include new parts for that model and type of device. All hardware and software, upgrades, updates, patches, revisions, and licenses for the security system covered under this contract at the KCVA Medical Center, all areas that currently utilize the security software or equipment which includes Honor annex, Excelsior Springs CBOC and Johnson County CBOC. The proposed contract action is for services which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals NLT 6/12/14 to Cynthia.turner99@va.gov. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract is solely based upon responses to this notice within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
