- F-16 Block 40-52 Fire Control Computer Sources Sought Description The U.S. Government is requesting information in an effort to identify vendors with the expertise, capabilities, and experience to successfully develop an upgrade to the current MMC 7000A on the USAF F-16 C/D Block 40-52. Participating vendors shall meet the following requirements: 1. United States high-speed mission computer manufacturer with past experience on mission computer development. 2. The manufacturer's development and production facilities are located within the United States. 3. The manufacturer's production facilities have sufficient maturity to support a minimum of 30 EMD MMC upgrades from Fiscal Year (FY) 16 - FY20 and 630 production MMC upgrades from FY20 - FY23. The projected production quantities are in a range of 80 to 150 upgrades per year. The U.S. Government requires variable pricing for an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract. 4. The manufacturer must meet US DoD security protection requirements. 5. The contractor must have solution that meets the following minimum requirements: a. Has a Technology Readiness Level of 6 or higher that is ready for integration and final development starting in FY16. b. Capable of completing development and entering Low Rate Initial Production by FY19. c. Solution that fits within existing MMC Line Replaceable Module (LRM) Size Weight and Power (SWAP) requirements. d. Provides sufficient memory and CPU throughput to host and execute current and future MMC OFPs. Minimum additional processing capacity of 1200 MIPS, additional total memory of one Gigabyte of SDRAM. e. Meets Cyber-Security (Information Assurance) requirements. 6. Backward compatible with current F-16 M6+ and M7+ OFPs. Software will be U.S. Government-maintained by the 309th at Hill AFB, Utah. 7. Provide cost and schedule delivery estimates for U.S. Government software development tools, compiler, licenses, proprietary software, and any unique development environment requirements. 8. Provide cost and schedule estimate to stand-up contractor sustainment and/or contractor depot. 9. Provide a list of documentation, Government Furnished Equipment, and Government Furnished Information the contractor requires from the U.S. Government, as well as the dates by which they are needed.
