Description

I.V.U.S. (INTRAVASCULAR ULTRASOUND) VOLCANO CORP STATEMENT OF WORK BRAND NAME ONLY. J&A ATTACHED. Signed copy available upon request. The use of IVUS is critical in performing optimal percutaneous interventional procedures. It is used to delineate vessel size, plaque composition and plaque burden. The use of the IVUS is associated with decreased procedural complications, lower long term complications and better long term results for patients. In additions, IVUS can be used to defer unnecessary procedures and provide prognostic information.
