- Description
- REPLACE FIRE ALARM CRYPTO BUILDING 1099, NAVAL AIR STATION PENSACOLA FL. The scope of work shall include the removal of the existing fire alarm control panel. All existing initiating and notification devices shall be removed, including manual pull stations, strobe devices, duct smoke detectors, smoke detectors, and heat detectors. Existing fire alarm equipment and/or devices that are removed from the building are government property and shall be returned to the government via the contracting officer and base FEAD Provide a complete new, electrically supervised, addressable intelligent, manual and automatic, annunciated fire alarm and detection system throughout the facility. The system shall be a voice evacuation type system. The fire reporting portion of the system shall be compatible with the existing base fire reporting system. The fire alarm system shall include manual stations, system smoke detectors, duct smoke detectors, heat detectors, audio/visual notification devices, and electrical supervision of all sprinkler system alarm and supervisory devices. The fire alarm control panel shall be capable of handling a minimum of 500 individually identified devices within the main control panel. Provide Class A Notification Appliance Circuits, Class A Signaling Line Circuits, and Class A Initiation Device Circuits. Manual pull stations shall be double action type manual pull stations with mechanical reset features. Manual pull stations shall be semi-flush mounted. Manual pull stations shall be provided from all mechanical rooms, electrical rooms, and communications rooms with direct access to the exterior of the facility. Fire alarm control panel shall be located adjacent to the existing panel, unless otherwise approved by the NAVFAC Southeast Fire Protection Engineer. Provide a remote annunciator and a LOC located at the direction of the contracting officer. All fire alarms, supervisory alarms and trouble conditions indicated at the fire alarm control panel shall be transmitted to the fire alarm receiving station. Transmitter zones shall be as follows: a. Sprinkler Water Flow b. Smoke Detector c. Manual Pull Station d. Fire Pump Running e. Supervisory (i.e., valve tamper switch, fire pump loss of power, fire pump phase reversal) f. Duct Smoke Detector. Existing conduit throughout the facility shall be reused if feasible. All new conduit shall be hard pipe metallic conduit.
