Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee intends to issue a sole source firm fixed priced base and four (4) option year contract to Orthoview, LLC for Software/Remote Support Service on OrthoView Orthopaedic Digital Planning Software and Template Updates located in the Engineering Department at the Lexington VAMC, 1101 Veterans Drive, Lexington, KY 40502. This requirement will be Sole Sourced because the Orthoview Orthopaedic Digital Planning Software is proprietary and templates are proprietary to the OrthoView application. Although in part consisting of template drawings supplied by the manufacturers (under Non-Disclosure Agreement) they also include data added by OrthoView to enable them to be accessed and manipulated by the OrthoView application. The OrthoView Orthopaedic Digital Planning Software is critical for surgical procedure planning in that it is proprietary software that is used to interface the various computer systems and VISTA Imaging. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 and 13.106-1(b) (2), "soliciting from a single source." The NAICS code is 541511 and has a size standard of $25.5M for this procurement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement and submit quotations no later than 4:30p.m. CST, June 27, 2014 to: Matthew.Cox@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses received to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
