Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 16 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Cynosure, Inc, 5 Carlisle Road, Westford, MA 01886, a small business for the purchase of a Tattoo Laser Removal System/Workstation for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Michael E. DeBakey VAMC. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the Authority of FAR 6.302-1 and 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The applicable NAICS code for this acquisition is 339112 with a business size standard of 500. Interested sources may submit technical capabilities and any other information that demonstrates ability to meet the requirements by submitting their interest in writing with complete name, address, telephone and fax numbers, and a point of contact. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Inquiries will only be accepted in writing via email to rosemary.briggs@va.gov. Telephone or voice mail requests will not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 11:00 AM CDT on Wednesday, June 18, 2014.
