Description

This is a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters VA Medical Center is currently seeking a system for imaging living cells incubated in temperature and humidity controlled environments for periods of 1 to 7 days, and for systems for analysis of the movement and changes in shape of cells while so cultured. For live cell incubation in confocal microscopes. The system must meet the following requirements: Allow incubation of cell culture flasks and dishes for extended periods in precisely controlled environments (e.g., 37 degrees centigrade with 5% carbon dioxide). Permit incubation of a wide variety of flasks and culture dishes including 35, 60 and 100 mm dishes, slides, and 12, 24 or 96 well plates. Have a small foot print to minimize bench space needed. Be capable of imaging cells using bright field, phase contrast and Fluorescence microscopy. Visualize cells at 4, 10, 20 and 40x magnification with a long working distance. Be able to do fluorescence imaging using four different filters (DAPI/Hoechst, GFP, RFP, Texas-Red). Be easy to operate. Generate stitched images and Z-stacks.
