- Description
- Contractor shall provide all services, engineering plans, labor, equipment, supplies, and materials for the work that consists of updates to the existing fire protection system in the A&E Building 100. Updates include the sprinkler system at various locations throughout the building, the hood system in the kitchen and the building fire alarm system. The fire protection system installation shall be performed by a Fire Protection Contractor with the licenses required by the State of Tennessee. The performance period for this project is 315 days. The extent of this work is contained in the Specifications and Drawings which will be posted on or about 02 July 2014. The construction magnitude of this project is $500,000 to $1,000,000. Invitation for Bid (IFB) will only be available electronically at the FBO website. No hardcopies, faxes, or emails will be available. Please register as a source to be notified of IFB Amendments, Clarifications, etc. However, it is the responsibility of contractors (even those registered as a source) to check the FBO website frequently to ensure they have all available information. NOTICE: Award of a contract will be in accordance with FAR 52.232-18, Availability of Funds. Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor received notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
