Description

The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award an order on behalf of the TRIDENT Refit Facility, Kings Bay, GA (TRIREFFAC) under Basic Ordering Agreement N00024-14-G-4300 or N00024-14-G-4301 to accomplish repairs (miscellaneous structural repairs, re-preservation efforts, and valve overhauls) of the YD-251 floating barge at the Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base estimated to begin 15 August 2014 and complete by 15 October, 2014. The potential prime contractors are Electric Boat Corporation, a General Dynamics Company located at 75 Eastern Point Road, Groton, CT 06340-4989, and Huntington Ingalls Industries, located at 4101 Washington Avenue, Newport News, VA 23607. This order will be issued pursuant to 10 USC 2304 (c)(1). The proposed action is for the supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit under the authority of FAR 6.303 utilizing Class J&A number 40,970. This announcement is restricted to nuclear-qualified shipyards.
