- Solicitation for.357 Sig Caliber Training Ammunition Statement of Work for.357 Sig Training Ammunition This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Proposals and testing are being requested and a separate solicitation will not be issued. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is soliciting offers in response to Request for Proposal (RFP) HSTS07-14-00016 for.357 SIG Caliber Training Ammunition for DHS component locations nationwide. See attached procurement solicitation/synopsis. This requirement will be procured as a full and open competition. The purpose of the attached solicitation/synopsis is to establish a nationwide procurement vehicle for use by all DHS components. The resulting award(s) will be used for training ammunition. The requirement will result in several indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) firm fixed price contracts against which individual delivery orders will be placed. Estimated quantity is approximately 5,200,000 rounds of.357 Sig training ammunition per year, totaling 26,000,000 rounds over the life of the contract. Key criteria for the training ammunition includes, but is not limited to meeting ballistic criteria in the Statement of Work (SOW). The Government will award multiple contracts to the responsible offerors whose proposal meets the Government's requirements and represents the low price technically acceptable offer(s) to the Government. The awarded contract will be for a period of five (5) years from date of award. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 332992.
