- Sole-Source Request Notice of Contract Action for a Sole Source Procurement SUBJECT: NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT FOR repairs to Huntley Radio Frequency (RF) Shielded Pneumatic Sliding Door model number 303-22 at the F-16 Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL). Repair damage to the RF Shield, water damage to the airlines, logic panel, drive cylinder and bladders and perform operational test. The Air Force, Edwards Air Force Base, CA intends to award a Sole Source purchase order to Chamber Services, Inc, 11521 Monarch Street Garden Grove, CA 92841. The following services are required: Model No. Description 303-22 Repair Radio Frequency Shield damage 303-22 Repair water damage to the airlines, logic panel, drive cylinder & bladders 303-22 Perform Operational Test The Huntley Radio Frequency Shielded Pneumatic Sliding Door model number 303-22 requires repairs to the shielding and the pneumatic closer. The shielding in the upper corner of the door is damaged and requires repair. The pneumatic system does not function and needs repair to clear water damage to the airlines, logic panel, drive cylinder and bladders. And an operational test must be performed to ensure functionality of the shield and pneumatic system. Currently Chamber Services, Inc. maintains all rights, title and interest in the U.S. Patent No.'s 4,370,831 and 4,953,324 and any renewals thereof for the Huntley Doors. Chamber Services, Inc. own exclusive right to repair doors. Qualified vendors will need the original design drawings for the door and door logic schematics and have authorized dealer service agreement with Chamber Services, Inc. Please note that this is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the specified items. A determination by the Air Force not to open the requirement to open competition, based on response to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Air Force.
