Stewart, GA, has an anticipated requirement to purchase a tactical reconnaissance robot system. This equipment is a man portable, remote controlled reconnaissance robot designed to provide immediate video surveillance to law enforcement personnel in hostile environments. The robot is to be less than ten (10) inches long and three (3) inches wide and with less than two (2) pounds. The size and weight is to make it easily transportable. The robot should easily deployed by simply throwing or tossing it into a target environment. The size of the product is key to make it difficult to detect while surveying a target environment. Survivability and durability are key attributes; designed to survive repeated forceful impacts. Maneuverability and range are a must also for the robot to have a turning radius of zero and have speed of at 1 foot per second. A good range for video and command signals of a range of 300' outdoors and 100' indoors. The robot is to need an ultra low light camera system. Its operational endurance is to be at least 45 minutes of continuous use. Finally the ease of use is essential where operators can and should be able to operate the remote control unit with one hand, leaving the other hand available for a firearm, shield or radio. The product should be similar to Throwbot XT or equal. Please provide specification sheet for your product.
