- AMENDMENT TO NOTICE - A site visit of the Cheboygan Vessel Base facility at 606 Water Street, Cheboygan, MI is planned for 06/25/14, 0800-1200 EDT. It is anticipated that the request for quotes will be posted on 06/19/14. The Department of the Interior, U.S. Geological Survey, Great Lakes Science Center, Ann Arbor, Michigan, has a requirement for roof replacement of a facility located at the Cheboygan Vessel Base, Cheboygan, Michigan. The facility is approximately 3,200 gross square footage of single-floor occupied space. The project involves installing a seamless minimum 24-gauge steel roof system with 20-year guarantee, including ice guards, gutters, and flashing or sealing penetrations. An alternate will be considered, which involves removing old shingles and paper, then installing a tar and shingle roof. The magnitude of the project is between $50,000 and $75,000. Proposals are being requested under Request for Quotes G14PS00441, which will be issued at fedbizopps.gov on or about 06/11/14. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). A statement of work is not available for release at this time. A site visit of the facility will be held 06/25/14 in Cheboygan, Michigan. More information regarding the specific location and time of the site visit will be included in the solicitation.
