- Dimensions & Specifications for Weapons Storage Cabinets. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The 22 nd Contracting Squadron is searching for firms who can provide Customized Stanley Vidmar High Density Modular Weapons Storage Cabinets or EQUAL for McConnell AFB. As part of its market research, 22 CONS/LGCA is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exist an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing the requirement. The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. Required are 14 (each) customized Stanley Vidmar eye level weapons cabinets or EQUAL, and 6 (each) customized Stanley Vidmar desk level weapons storage cabinets or EQUAL. The requiring activity currently has 5 existing eye level cabinets, which 2 of the new desk level cabinets will be stacked on top of. Please see attached for specifications and model numbers for specific pieces which make up each cabinet. The desk level cabinets must be able to stack on top of eye level cabinets. On top of the eye level cabinets there will be screw plugs which allow the desk level cabinets to be installed on top of the eye level cabinets. Because the cabinets are customized there is not one part number that encompasses all items for each cabinet. The eye level cabinets will have 5 drawers, and the desk level cabinets will have 2 drawers. For both cabinets, each drawer must be able to store 15 M16's or M4's. Two inserts must be provided in each drawer to allow the weapon to be stored without falling over. This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of 22 CONS/LGCA market research. No Request For Quote (RFQ) exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ. Responses to this Sources Sought are not quotes on which the 22 CONS/LGCA can issue any contract. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a RFQ. The Government does not intend to award a contract or BPAs based only on responses to this Sources Sought. All information received in response to this Sources Sought marked "Proprietary" will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response. Responses to the Sources Sought will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this Sources Sought. 22 CONS/LGCA will not pay for information received in response to this Sources Sought. Do not submit pricing information in response to this Sources Sought.
