Description
The proposed procurement is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business; NAICS 236220 with a small business size standard not to exceed $33.5 million average annual receipts over the preceding three fiscal years. The magnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The Government intends to solicit and award one contract for a construction project that will repair the failed and failing components of building 1189, a facility constructed in 1969 as the main exchange and used as the home and garden/furniture store from 1994 to Aug 2013. Building components and systems to be repaired include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), sanitary, electrical, fire alarm and suppression system, and information technology systems funded in accordance to Table 2-1 DA PAM 420-11, doors and windows, ceilings, floor coverings, interior partitions, loading dock, interior and exterior finishes. Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) were identified in a survey. Additional asbestos containing materials (ACM) found or exposed will be abated according to Federal and State requirements. All other HAZMAT will be addressed by this project. Additional information in accordance with the statement of work will be included in the invitation for bid package. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. All questions shall be submitted via e-mail to Christopher.m.neville@usace.army.mil. The solicitation will be provided in an electronic format, free of charge on or about 3 July 2014, to all authenticated account holders of Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) System. Please note that all Corps of Engineers acquisitions are considered sensitive, but unclassified documents, and require users to have a valid MPIN entered in the FBO system to access packages.
