Description
"Correct Water Infiltrations Problems at Robert C. McEwen U.S. Customs House" 127 North Water Street, Ogdensburg, NY 13669 Project Number RNY 00569 The Government announces its requirement to procure construction service to perform site alteration work at the Robert C. McEwen U.S. Customs House, Ogdensburg, NY so ground water infiltration into the basement level of the Robert C. McEwen U.S. Customs House is mitigated. Under this project, the on-site storm sewer system will be repaired, foundation drains and a French drain system will be installed, a catch basin will be installed in the front of the customs house to intercept rainwater, the stone foundation wall at the customs house will be repaired and waterproofed, pavements and sidewalks will be renovated, the storm drain seawall outlet at the river will be repaired; and excavation, backfill, and site restoration work shall be provided so site alteration work can be performed. The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, tools, management, and supervision. Base work shall include, but is not limited to general construction of finishes, plumbing, mechanical, electrical/lighting, security and related systems; exact work description is identified and indicated in the Contract Documents. Products to be used are specified within the drawings and individual Specification Sections. The contractor shall comply with the project's design specifications and drawings. The work will be constructed under a single prime contract. In accordance with FAR 14.408-1, award will be made as a firm fixed price sealed bid construction contract to a responsible bidder whose bid, conforms to the invitation, will be most advantageous to the Government, considering only price and the price-related factors included in the invitation. The magnitude of this construction project is estimated between $250,000 and $500,000. The appropriate NAICS Code is 236220, with a size standard of $33.5 million dollars. Performance and payment bonds will be required following award pursuant to the Miller Act. A bid guarantee is also required. The procurement is 100% set aside for HUBZone businesses. The required construction completion date is approximately 150 days commencing one day after Notice to Proceed. The tentative solicitation release date is no earlier than 15 days after posting of this notice in FedBizOpps. To insure that you receive all information regarding this solicitation, be sure to register to receive updates at www.fbo.gov. It is anticipated that the solicitation (IFB) will be issued on or about July 03, 2014 with bids due or about August 03, 2014. This is a weather dependent project, and work will not be performed during winter months. The anticipated notice to proceed is 1 April 2015. There is no information available until the issue of the solicitation via the Internet. All potential Offerors must have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM). All prospective Offerors are required to have completed the Representations and Certifications in SAM.
