- Clinical Addition Building 31, Project No. 538-110 - The general scope of this project is to construct a two-story addition with a full basement to the existing building 31. This includes demolition of the existing stair towers and some adjacent framing. It also includes demolition and construction of new underground utilities. Contractor shall completely prepare the site for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing items, and furnish labor, materials and equipment necessary to all new construction which includes but not limited to architectural, structural, site, mechanical, electrical and plumbing as shown and specified for the 'Clinical Addition Building 31' Project number 538-110, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Chillicothe, Ohio. Work to be completed within 540 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Plans, specifications and drawings will be available on line on or about June 26, 2014. All specifications and drawings will be available on line through this website and no hard copies will be issued. Estimated cost range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. A pre-bid conference will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. local time in Building 1, Room 156, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. All potential contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers are urged to attend as this will be the only site visit for this project. Bid opening is Monday, July 28, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. local time in Building 1, Room 121, at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 17273 State Route 104, Chillicothe, Ohio. This project is 100% set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. Contractors bidding this project should ensure they are registered in VetBiz Registry at http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/, under the appropriate NAICS code for this procurement.
