14SNB25_spec note This synopsis is being posted to Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov/. FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet. Please feel free to use the FBO site to access information posted by NSWC Crane. Request for Information (RFI) This Request for Information is the initiation of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI. At the current time, NO FUNDING IS AVAILABLE for contractual efforts. This RFI/sources sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids (IFB), a Request for Quote (RFQ), or a Request for Proposal (RFP) and it should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the government to issue a formal solicitation or ultimately award a contract. The US Government is in no way liable to pay for or reimburse any companies or entities that respond to this announcement. Any costs incurred by interested companies in response to this announcement will NOT be reimbursed. NAVSURFWARCENDIV Crane is requesting MARKET SURVEY information relative to a liquid conditioning unit used with AN/SLQ-32 V6. Sources are requested to provide general system information for applicable products. Item: Liquid Conditioning Unit Performance: Features: Ship Deck mountable Liquid Conditioning Unit (LCU) capable of providing 4,400 watts of cooling capacity in two closed cooling loops (8,800 watts total) using 60/40 propylene glycol/water mixture and ship's electronics cooling water at 7 - 11°C, 4 GPM. Propylene glycol shall conform to A-A52624A. The two closed cooling loops shall maintain an adjustable cooling temperature of 21.6 to 26.6 °C, 3.5 GPM per loop (7.0 GPM total). The LCU shall have the capacity to provided 5,000 watts heating in the event the cooling fluid falls beneath 20°C. The LCU shall provide system status at the LCU and provide system status to a remote location through a fiber optic communication at a user definable rate. The LCU shall meet the requirements of MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 for shipboard environment. The LCU shall meet current IA and IT in accordance with the security technical implementation guide. Total Weight: Equal to or less than 200 pounds Overall Dimensions (LWH): Equal to or less than 19 inches Length X 29 inches Width X 38 inches Height Electrical Interfaces: 44VAC, 60 Hz, 3 phase, Delta, type 1, ungrounded: 115 VAC, 60 Hz, 1 phase, Delta type 1 ungrounded as per MIL-STD-1399 section 300A. Data Interface: Fiber optic Ethernet Grounding: Chassis isolated from electrical grounds Water Resistance: IP-65 rated LCD Display: 12" LCD display flat panel with touch screen. Environmental: Temperature: Operating: 0 to 50 ° C (operating); -40 to 70 ° C (storage). Relative Humidity: 0 to 95% (non-condensing) Shipboard Motion: Sea State 5 (operating); Sea State 8 (survive) The LCU shall meet vibration requirements of MIL-STD-167. The LCU shall meet shock requirements of MIL-S-901D and current shock requirements of NAVSEA 05 for grade A equipment. Mean time between failures: Equal to or more than 30,000 hours Mean time to repair: Equal to or less 30 minutes Life Cycle Support Characteristics: Design/utilization for marine service Demonstrated reliability in marine environment Demonstrated maintainability, including parts/ service support, training, technical documentation Please provide responses to within 30 days after issue of this notice.
