- Description
- The United States Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), MD 21005, is seeking capable and interested 8(a) small business sources of General Dynamic (GD) 'GEM X Encryptor Manager' software licenses and annual software maintenance/support. ACC-APG intends to award a 3-year (base + 2 option years) Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract for this requirement via sole-source 8(a) small business set-aside. The requirement includes annual software maintenance/support for quantity 68 'GD GEM X Encryptor Manager' in the base year and each option year, plus an option for 18 new software licenses of 'GD GEM X Encryptor Manager'. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) number for this acquisition is 423430. The posting date for this RFI is 13 June 2014 and the closing date for responses is 7 July 2014. All responsible and interested sources are requested to submit a price quote and a written statement that the source has confirmed with General Dynamics that it is capable of providing for this requirement. The price quote will be used to confirm the source's understanding of the requirement, and the written statement to confirm the source's capability of meeting the requirement. NOTE: Contract award for this requirement will be made via sole-source 8(a) set-aside. System posting limitations do not permit a set-aside code of 'Sole-Source 8(a)', hence the next nearest description of 'Competitive 8(a)' for this announcement. NOTE: Interested respondents have communicated that procurement history and account numbers are needed for purposes of identifying end-user accounts with GD to generate pricing data. Account numbers are not available.
