Description

The United States Coast Guard, Base Alameda Procurement & Contracting Department, intends to award a sole source contract under the authority FAR 6.302-1 - Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources will Satisfy Agency Requirements, to Northrop Grumman Systems, Corp. (Sperry Marine) to provide two DEPTH SOUNDER TRANSDUCERS, P/N 544708010. This vendor has been identified through market research as the only vendor that can provide these items in the timeline needed for this requirement. This action will result in a firm-fixed price purchase order. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 334511. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any firm that believes it can provide the items/services described above may give written notification to the primary POC no later than 03 July 2014. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Contract award is estimated to occur on or before 03 July 2014. The Justification & Approval (J&A) document will be posted after award in accordance with FAR 6.305(a).
