Description: Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peter VA Medical Center is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing a: Vario 700 Zeiss Microscope The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification//socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 339114. Note: Set-Aside requirements, Services (except construction). At least 50 percent of the cost of contract performance incurred for personnel shall be expended for employees of the concern. Supplies (other than procurement from a non-manufacturer of such supplies). The concern shall perform work for at least 50 percent of the cost of manufacturing the supplies, not including the cost of materials. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. Responses to this notice should include company/individual name, a service capability statement, examples of similar facilities which you have provided services to, DUNS number, address, point of contact and social-economic category (ex: SBVOSB, VOSB, 8(a), HUBZone, WOSB, EDWOSB, Small Business). Description: All items needed Zeiss Microscope with: An integrated auto lamp exchange. When bulb #1 burns out after 500 hours, you can switch in the lamp housing of the scope to bulb #2 with the rotation of the knob without having to stop the case and get a new bulb, or having to re drape with another sterile drape. An Auto Balance on the Vario 700 An Auto Drape on the Vario 700 A Built in Speed Auto Focus only available in a Zeiss Microscope. An integrated built in camera and video components so they are not externally attached and liable to damage as move scope from room to room banging into doors etc. Contractor must replace any damaged or defected furniture within 30 days of claim. Contractor must deliver whole order at one time, no partials. 3. Background: The Zeiss Microscope is needed in Anesthesiology Services to function as a multidisciplinary surgical microscope.
