Description
FOR ALL INFORMATION CONTACT: Anthony N. Hamilton, Product Realization Engineer, (443) 395-6265 This is a Market Survey to identify providers of alternator rewind/remanufacturing services who can repair failed Caterpillar SR4B alternators and have a process capable of delivering product performance similar to, equal to, or better than that of quote mark Enduraseal quote mark. The MEP-810 DPGDS is a medium voltage 840 kW generator set used across the Department of Defense to include the Army Corps of Engineers and the Missile Defense Agency. The MEP-810 utilizes the Caterpillar SR4B Alternator. These generators are deployed around the world, often in extreme environments, in Prime Power missions. Feedback from Field Units indicates that main alternator failures are adversely impacting the mission, especially when deployed to more environmentally hostile environments. A number of failed SR4B alternators have been rewound using the quote mark Enduraseal quote mark process by Integrated Power Services (IPS). The IPS remanufactured alternators are performing as required and have not experienced failures, even in the most extreme environments. If you believe that your firm can meet this requirement, so affirm, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: RDER-PRP-G, Building 6010, Aberdeen Proving Grounds (APG), MD 21005 or by email to: Anthony.N.Hamilton6.civ@mail.mil. If available please include product lead time, price break ranges if applicable, other relative information that may impact, supply or delivery, vendor name, CAGE, address, company representative, Tel/fax#, and applicable email address. The successful service supplier shall be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. For more information contact Anthony N. Hamilton, RDER-PRP-G, (443) 395-6265. The deadline for response is 21 July 2014. EMAIL ADDRESS: Anthony.N.Hamilton6.civ@mail.mil CECOM POC
