- Description
- The National Cemetery Administration is soliciting offers under Solicitation No. VA786-14-Q-0214 for the supply of approximately 600 A1, Memorial Wall Marker, Blank Marble; and 3000 I1, Niche Cover, Blank, Marble for use as replacements. Replacements must be comparable in color and shading to the existing marble niche covers mounted on columbaria at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. For aesthetic purposes, the supplied material shall match existing material having characteristics of marble from Vermont or Colorado. Marble shall conform to the definition of marble as defined by ASTM- C119. Marble provided under this contract shall be standard grade, fine to medium grained material as classified by the National Building Marble Quarries Association. It shall be free of cracks, seams, or starts which may impair its integrity or readability of the inscription. Color shall be White (The overall whiteness of the marble exclusive of allowable coloration shall be (N9 or higher) judged against the (Munsell Neutral Value Scale, Matte 31 - step scale). Variations in coloration shall blend gradually with the white background. Contractors having previous approval of a full size niche cover sample within the last 12 months may submit a copy of that approval in lieu of submitting an actual sample. A 6" x 6" sample representative of the stone to be used will be required for review. Contractor must be able to deliver product within 30 days of award. Evaluation criteria for this award will be in Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA). Electronic solicitations will be available for download from Federal Business Opportunities http://www.FedBizOpps.gov on or around June 20, 2014. Responses to the solicitation are due by 2:00 p.m., July 2, 2014. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments to the solicitation which will be available at FedBizOpps. No telephone requests will be accepted. Any questions should be sent via email by June 25, 2014.
